Originally from France, creativity has always been part of who Romane is — she’s been painting since she was just seven years old. After learning fluent English as a teenager, she then set her sights on putting her artistic skills to good use, by learning how to tattoo.  Something which was achieved when she Graduated with flying colours from our Tattoo Academy back in 2021. Romane specialises in abstract fine line work, creating delicate, flowing artwork which brings a modern twist to traditional forms of tattooing.  Always one to tease her colleagues, her personality brings energy into our Birmingham studio every single day, making every appointment a fun and welcoming experience with many returning clients. Outside of work, she unwinds with music from her favourite artist, Billie Eilish — a fitting soundtrack for such a creative spirit.

One of the original members of Vivid Ink Birmingham – Dorian is true master of his craft!

Dorian answered a paper ad many moons ago, and he instantly became a smash hit!

Famed in his home country of Bulgaria – many famous artists working in the UK were mentored by Dorian. Although he will never take the credit for it – this is not in his nature (He certainly should!).

Known for his relentless work ethic and incredible skill – it’s people like Dorian who have helped elevate tattooing to where it is today!

He is a well-travelled individual and someone who is incredibly open minded. His skillset is vast and influenced by many medium of art.

Meg is our super friendly studio manager here in Birmingham!

Brummy born & bred, she has lived in the Birmingham area her whole life.

She went to Birmingham University and got a Bachelor’s degree in Textile Design – specialising in embroidery which ended up in her making wedding dresses & working in the wedding industry as a wedding planner for a number of years.

Her creative side brought her to Vivid Ink & she has never looked back!

Meg makes the best cups of tea & is easily distracted by dogs.

When Sean was a boy he would always be found losing himself in the comic book world and Batman and Spiderman were always his favourite!

Sean has been heavily influenced by the Japanese culture, and this shows in his style of art.

Various forms of Anime and Manga continue to be some of his favourites to this day!

Sean would always spend lots of time at the skateparks – and it was here where tattoos caught his eye! It wasn’t long before he was bought into the tattooing world by a friend.

He is a master of Neo-traditional tattoos and a very genuine individual.

A Fine Art graduate from university in her native Bulgaria, Jo brings a classical artistic foundation to every piece she creates. Her journey with Vivid Ink began over 10 years ago, after being introduced to us in 2016 by our very first artist, Dorian. Knowing the level of quality Dorian represents, we had high expectations, and Jo exceeded them from day one. It quickly became clear that Jo possesses immense natural talent. Specialising in both realistic colour and black and grey, her exceptional understanding of light, shadow and tone, gives each tattoo remarkable depth and lifelike presence. Outside of the studio, Jo enjoys painting, training, and unwinding with her beloved cat, Momo.

A beating heart of the studio, VJ is someone who is very well known in the Birmingham area!

Never one to follow the grain – VJ started out his art career customising trainers, something which he still does to this day along with the addition of clothing too! (They’re insane!) And it was through this that his talent was spotted straight away!

Providing some decorations for one of our studios – the switch to tattoo artist was one which simply had to be made!

VJ mainly specialises in realism and Chicano-style tattoos, delivering clean lines, rich shading, and artwork rooted in culture and authenticity.

His natural flair always shines through, and his laughter can always be heard from the front of the studio as he and his customers exchange stories throughout their sittings!

Ella joined the studio in January 2024 after coming through the Vivid Ink Apprenticeship program.

From the very start she expressed an interest in all things traditional and colour but also had a love for Fineline. Ella has since explored the world of neo traditional and has found that she loves this style. She has been pushing her colour work and has seen an increase in demand for neo trad work over her first year here.

She always puts the client first and will do the utmost to make sure they leave feeling happy with their new tattoo.

Unbeknownst to Mike – it was through an email sent by someone else on Mike’s behalf that first highlighted his special gifts for art! This turned out to be a fantastic decision as Mike has now been a part of the family for almost 8 years! The rest is history as they say!

Loved by customers and artists alike – Mike takes every step possible to ensure his clients go home with a smile on their face! No design is too difficult.

This will be vouched for by so many across the UK who proudly wear his work – with some of his clients even coming from abroad as they know of his talents!

With us since 2012 Marius is proof that anything is possible with hard work and dedication!

You will find Marius in the studio bright and early – hours before his scheduled start time – as well as being one of the last to leave!

His passion is unrivalled and tattooing truly is a lifestyle for Marius, who lives and breathes what he does. Whether he is painting, drawing or tattooing, he is always honing his craft.

In tattooing, realism is his go to style, nailing every last detail!

It’s no surprise the level of artwork he creates and has a legion of clients who proudly display his artwork across the whole of the UK.

Jodie’s first piercing that she had done was her lobes when she was just 7 years old and it was a few years later at 14, when Jodie went to get her Belly pierced, she was fascinated by the whole process!

Falling into nursing – it was here that Jodie learned about the anatomy of the human body and where the idea of becoming a body piercer really came into her mind!

Jodie sought out an apprenticeship at her local studio and worked alongside many experienced body piercers, before making the switch to Vivid Ink in 2019 where she has since gone on from strength to strength!

Jodie is famous for her ice cool persona – someone who is extremely calming and makes peoples nerves go away! Also, as someone who loves to share her extensive knowledge with others – she has played the part in the training of numerous body piercers of the future! Many of whom will point to Jodie as a key factor in their growth!

With us since 2014, the lovely Charley has been a mainstay of our Birmingham team.

Charley’s first taste of art was scribbling all over her grandmas wallpaper many moons ago! This eventually turned into a A-Degree in Fine Art. An avid tattoo lover herself – there was only one career to choose!

Charley is the queen of all things colour – from Watercolour to Disney – the more colours the better!

Always in demand, she has a collection of loyal customers who keep her busy all year round! Adding to their collections and catching up over a brew!

At the tender age of 18, Lukaz decided to perform his first tattoo…this was of course on himself!

Without a machine to his name – he decided to build one himself using parts from an old car engine, guitar strings and the buttons from an old pair of jeans! It was whilst admiring his masterpiece that he realised he may be onto something! He moved on to friends and family – where a position in his cousins shop quickly followed!

In 2010, Lucasz moved to the UK where he worked in a warehouse for DHL – before he decided to apply for a position within a studio.

From here he went from strength to strength – before settling in Birmingham and joining our team in 2022!

Harvey has been a full time resident Artist Since 2021 Starting out through our apprentice scheme, his natural ability stood out straight away. His first practice pieces were extremely impressive, proof he was exactly where he was meant to be. After completing his training, he became a resident artist at Vivid Ink, working firstly in our Moseley branch before settling closer to home in Birmingham. Specialising in realism, he has grown into a versatile, dedicated artist who genuinely loves what he does — and it shows in every tattoo. Known for his cool and calm persona, very well liked by all of his peers, Harvey’s passion for ink goes beyond the studio too. He’s even travelled abroad to get tattooed himself by his favourite artists and stays inspired by the wider tattoo community. When he’s not in the studio or creating new designs, you can find Harvey keeping active in the gym and bringing that same drive to everything he does!
