Jake is an award winning artist based in our Lichfield studio starting his tattoo journey with Vivid Ink in the summer of 2021 after previously traveling around Asia and Australia. It was clear to see that Jake had raw talent and he quickly caught the eye of the vivid ink management. He then became a resident artist at the studio in Lichfield. Jake hit the ground running with his awesome black and grey realism style, he is a true client’s favourite and a vital part of the Lichfield team. Jake’s favourite style is black and grey realism however he can work in a wide range of styles and is always up for the challenge.

What’s your background before tattooing?
I travelled straight after a-level, first as a ski instructor in Canada for 2 years and then Australia for another 2 years.
What styles of tattoo do you specialise in?
I’d like to think I’m capable of anything that walks through the door, however what I specialise in is black and grey realism pieces.
What do you enjoy doing when you are not working?
I spend pretty much all my spare time socialising with friends and family
What's the most enjoyable part of your job?
I love being able to take 3-4 static images and turn them into a sleeve that flows and with the body part and links all together.
What is the most meaningful tattoo you have done and why?
Probably a small looney tunes tattoo I did on my dad 😂 my dad has never been a fan of tattoos however when I started he let me tattoo one of my first ever tattoos on his leg. At the time his brother was going though chemotherapy and he had a big road runner on his ass so my dad wanted to surprise him with the same tattoo. Meant a lot for many reason!
