She has been tattooing for 6 years now and wants to specialise in realism tattoos. Simona is not afraid of a challenging composition or cover up and is always willing to go the extra mile for clients. Why did you want to work in a tattoo studio?
I actually used to do nails professionally for quite a while. Visual art and creating something amazing has always been an interest of mine so I pursued my interest in tattooing and it has worked out perfectly!
What do you love most about your job?
I enjoy a bit of everything but I absolutely love doing realism, especially with a splash of colour. I love bringing someone’s vision to life and helping them to tell their story.
What do you enjoy when you are not working?
I absolutely love cats and have 2 Sphynx cats who are my babies. I love drawing up new designs, doing nail art when I have time, and exploring new places with my partner.
How many tattoos do you have?
I always say I would never rework or cover any of my tattoos, because they tell a part of my story exactly as they are. And I love being able to give people that, to help them be able to tell their stories and heal from the art that I do for them.
Have you ever wanted to become a tattoo artist yourself?
I have done so many meaningful ones over the years that I lose count! I think cover ups can be really empowering as they can give someone a completely new confidence and freedom for them which they were hiding or embarrassed by before.
